Store description

Since its launch in 1964, in the basement of the department store of Peter Robinson, this English brand has become a major authority and one of the fashion’s biggest success stories with more than 300 shops scattered around the United Kingdom and over 100 in international territories, including a US flagship store in New York.

The iconic Topshop store, established in London in 1994, is considered the world’s largest fashion store on the high street, attracting over 200,000 shoppers each week.

Topshop.com, online since the year 2000, ships to over 30 international destinations and offers customers in the United States the opportunity to shop in US currency and sizes on the dedicated site, us.topshop.com.

The site, which is updated five times per week, represents a point of reference for all the fashion addicts of the world. With such a huge and variegated offer, going through the Web Portal could give you the same feeling of positive perdition that you would perceive when crossing the threshold of the store at Oxford Circus where it is really easy to lose track of time. In all cases, thumbs up to the structure of the website for its excellent navigation, which cleverly guides users through huge offers and moves efficiently through detailed sections and offers the possibility of using filters in order to accelerate the search. The categories, in addition to the traditional ones sorted by clothing, accessories, etc…, also delineate special spaces characterized by a different approach to fashion. Here are the main ones:

DESIGNERS & COLLECTIONS: Topshop has further cemented the brand’s reputation founded in 1998 as a promoter and supporter of emerging designers through the realization of limited editions produced exclusively for the store. Furthermore, through a project called EMERGE, since 2010, Topshop has been endorsing niche international labels. UNIQUE: Since 2005, Topshop has been modeling its own in-house design collection, Unique, at the London Fashion Week. This line is made up of bold pieces, characterized by an irreverent approach to style for those who like to stay ahead of the times. BOUTIQUE: Here you can find important pieces that give character to your wardrobe as well as high quality basic pieces. This range of products, made of high quality materials like cashmere and silk, offers timeless, pass-partout pieces that will last many seasons. STUDIO: A space dedicated to international cutting-edge and trendy brands which are selected by the team of Topshop and showcased through key pieces which are the result of a clever mixture between clothing and accessories. MOTO: An area totally devoted to denim. FREEDOM: A line of inexpensive jewelry, exclusively designed for Topshop, the result of a clever mix of the past and contemporary look with a cutting-edge twist. Updated with 400 new items every month, it is the ideal place to find the right accessory for that special occasion. The HOTSHOP section features holiday chic clothing and accessories, from bathing suits to cover-ups, whereas in the SNOW section you can go wild with winter sports clothing so that you can ski in style. It is also worth mentioning the TALL and PETITE lines, where rich selections of items suitable for tall and petite frame girls are showcased, so that both tall and thin girls do not have to worry about finding the right fit without having to resort to expensive alterations. MATERNITY is the section that caters to the clothing needs of expectant moms. For those who are overwhelmed by these rich choices, there are two big helps: LOOKBOOK where various looks are showcased, created with the articles for sale and inspired by different themes, or FEATURES that deals with different topics and where you can find products and suggestions for that special occasion. Worth checking out is the BEAUTY section, whereas the GIFTS section showcases great gift ideas.

The auntie likes it because

  • The BEAUTY section, in addition to offering a vast range of inexpensive products, it propones TUTORIAL VIDEOS; i.e., films through which useful tips on how to apply makeup (they are not as good as the CLIO’s tutorial videos, nevertheless there is always something new to learn). You should also give the VIRTUAL MAKEOVER tool a try, where by uploading a picture of yourself you can virtually test makeup products so you find the one that best suits your skin before buying it.

  • If you access the portal WRITE A REVIEW, in the comment box of each article, you can write a product review to inform Topshop and other consumers about your opinions and personal evaluations.

  • For each product visualized, you have the choice of checking, through the “check stores” button whether the article you would like to purchase is available in your size and desired color at the store near you so that you can buy it immediately.
